Flamboyance

The Flamboyance image series is focused on deconstructing sexually objectifying fashion media to instead display one's confidence and style. The following 12 images are inspired by hyper-sexualized images I came across while completing the research phase of my capstone. My goal was to show that by changing simple aspects such as lighting, garments, poses, elements, principles of design, camera angles, location settings, and altering other compositional aspects such as props and image editing an image can be entirely and newly transformed. I wanted the transformation of the following 12 images to display the inner confidence that exudes from the model, and to show modesty and respect for the female body through the styling of modest outfits.
